I am writing this with such a heavy heart.

Some apple podcast subscribers, may once again be experiencing problems accessing premium content including bonus episodes, and the Drift Off Library Audiobooks. I know how upsetting and frustrating this is, especially for those of  you who have made these stories part of your nightly routine and peaceful rest. 

​

​I want you to know that I am deeply upset by this situation too. I have spent countless hours trying to get help and answers, and at times I have honestly felt helpless watching this continue to happen.

​

The hardest part is that this all began because I was genuinely trying to improve listening experience for subscribers.  For a long time, the full-length audiobooks were buried far down the premium feed, making them difficult to find and enjoy seamlessly. I wanted to create a calm, organized audiobook library where subscribers could easily access stories in one dedicated place without endlessly scrolling through episodes.

Because Apple does not allow multiple subscriptions under a single show, I was directed toward expanding to a channel in order to include the audiobook library alongside Drift Off Bedtime Stories. What was meant to be a thoughtful improvement for listeners has instead turned into an incredibly stressful and heartbreaking situation.

​

I know many of you subscribe not simply for content, but because these stories help you through anxiety, insomnia, loneliness, grief, difficult nights, and moments when sleep feels far away. That is what makes this especially painful for me. This little peaceful space we built together means so much to me, and seeing subscribers lose access to content they paid for has been devastating.

​

Please know that I have not stopped trying to get this resolved. I continue reaching out to Apple support and pushing for higher-level technical assistance because I truly believe subscribers deserve better support and clarity than what has happened so far.

​

Unfortunately, communication has been extremely limited, with very long delays between email responses and very little guidance being provided throughout this process. As of today, I have not received a reply since May 4th, despite the ongoing impact this is having on subscribers.

​

What has made this even more difficult is that podcasters do not appear to have access to direct phone support for these kinds of technical issues, leaving email as the only option while subscribers continue losing access to content. The long periods of silence and uncertainty have honestly compounded the feeling of helplessness and abandonment during an already incredibly stressful situation.

​

I will continue sharing updates as I receive more information, and I promise to keep listeners informed as best I can throughout this situation.
